A non-profit corporation dedicated to producing meaningful theatrical productions for children and families, providing advanced theatrical instruction for children, and serving the community through drama-related outreach programs. The Children’s Theatre of Knoxville was formed in 2007 by Zack Allen, who serves as the corporation’s Executive Director, and by Jenny Ballard, who serves as Artistic Director.
CTK is now accepting students for our spring term of creative dramatics classes.
Imagi-Stage classes are held after-school and specialize in teaching the Basics of creative dramatics in a practical setting: through the rehearsal and performance of a short 20-minute play. Imagi-Stage classes are taught by CTK's Producing Director Zack Allen, who has directed CTK's recent productions of, “Wind in the Willows”.
Matinee Club classes take place on Saturdays and teach performance basics And character creation through a fun and lively series of games, exercises, and Classroom work.
